1. Who we are

Drift Focus App ("Drift", "we", "us", or "our") is the developer of the Drift: ADHD Focus Timer application, available on Android via Google Play. Our app is designed to help people with ADHD and attention difficulties build better focus habits.

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service.

Data stored on your device (not sent to us):

• Focus session records (duration, mode, date)
• Distraction logs you create
• Mood check-in data
• Streak and progress data
• App preferences and settings

Data we may collect if you opt in to Pro features or create an account:

• Email address (for account creation and communication)
• Subscription status (managed via Google Play Billing)
• Anonymised usage analytics to improve the app (crash reports, session length aggregates — no personally identifiable information)

Waitlist: If you sign up on our website, we collect your email address to send you launch notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide and improve the app experience
• Send you launch and update notifications (only if you opted in)
• Process subscription payments via Google Play (we do not store payment card data)
• Fix bugs and improve app stability using anonymised crash reports

We do not use your data for advertising profiling. We do not sell your data to any third party.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Google Play: Subscription and payment processing is handled by Google Play Billing. Google's own privacy policy applies to those transactions.
• Crash reporting: We may use a service like Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymised crash data. This data does not include your focus sessions or personal information.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data retention

Data stored on your device remains there until you delete the app or clear the app's data in your device settings. If you have an account, you can request deletion of your account data at any time by emailing us.

Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Right of access: You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete your personal data.
• Right to restrict processing: You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Right to data portability: You can request your data in a portable format.
• Right to object: You can object to certain types of processing.

7. Children's privacy

Drift is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Your focus session data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly use a sync or backup feature.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to using best practices to protect your information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
